Capdepera Golf lies hidden on one side of the Artá mountain range on the eastern side of the island and provides for a challenging round of golf for players of all standards. Inaugurated in 1989 it was designed by the famous American course architect Dan Maples, this golf course has many picturesque holes, including Hole 15, which was voted as ‘Best Hole on the Island’ by Mallorca Magazine, largely due to the great birdie opportunity and moreover, the stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea and surrounding valley.

lakes lurk throughout the course, posing a constant hazard to any good round. The extremely narrow fairways are enough to test any good player, and enough to frighten any beginner to his bones.

The last holes are especially difficult, laid strategically in the hills of Artà, yet here one sees the astounding beauty of Capdepera, with the views of the Canyamel Valley and the sea in the not too distant background. In the face of such beauty, it is hard to believe any golfer could keep his concentration.

Anyone who can shoot par amidst the sunset at Capdepera has nerves and concentration made only for the tour. The pro shop is located in the clubhouse, where you can also organise lessons with a professional golf instructor. Buggies are for hire and are allowed on the fairways. Capdepera Golf has a Mallorcan-style clubhouse and its Roca Viva restaurant has a superb terrace with lovely mountain views.
