Seasonal Trend: Tailored Shorts

May 29th

Shared from Trendy Golf Magazine

The golfing season is finally here and as we welcome a much overdue bout of nice weather, thoughts turn to wearing shorts out on the course.

Of course, shorts are a personal preference for most as some golfers will always opt for a pair of pants for a smarter, refined look. However, that isn’t to say this look can not be achieved with a nice pair of tailored shorts.

It is important to get the right fit and style that best suits you. You will find a slimmer pair of shorts looks great on the course but for some, this might be too restricting. Length is also vital, we suggest just above the knee is ideal for movement and from a fashion perspective.

One of our favourite pairs of shorts this season are the Liem-W from Hugo Boss. A cotton/chino style short with enough width at the leg opening for comfort and breathability. Available in a variety of colours, these shorts work great both on and off the course this season.  But wait, there’s more…

Linna Golf, Finland

May 26th

Linna golf course opened for play in 2005 and is roughly 100 kilometers from Helsinki and only 75 kilometers from the cities of Tampere and Lahti. This idyllic course offers a great variety of beautiful landscapes and terrains. The course is built on Vanajanlinna Manor grounds and spans over 100 hectares, making for a spacious course.

Linna was originally nominated as a Gem by Petri and was added to the Top 100 website in May 2008. Since then Linna has become not only a nationally ranked course, but also a track that regularly features in our European Top 100. Petri’s original nomination article follows:

Even if I might be considered biased, Linna Golf is by any national poll regarded as either the No.1 or No.2 ranked course in Finland (Golf Digest Finland,, Finnish Golf magazine). The course was designed by European Golf Design / Tim Lobb and was completed with highest criteria of design and construction (USGA specifications). It is part of the European Tour Courses group and has already since its inauguration since 2005 been rewarded a Challenge Tour event for 2009, European Amateur Championships in 2010 and the goal is to host a European Tour event shortly after.  But wait, there’s more…

May 22nd

Shared from Trendy Golf Magazine

TrendyGolf put some of this seasons Puma Golf shoes through their paces to see how well these shoes match up to others on the market.

First up, we tried and tested the Puma Bio Fusion SL Mesh shoe. This shoe is flexible, supportive and lightweight that will change the way in which you think about your golf shoes. Ideal for both on and off course, the Puma Bio Fusion Mesh shoe will keep your feet cool and dry with enough support for comfort.

This shoe was taken to a couple of golf course for a few rounds and here is what was said…

How did these shoes perform during the round(s)?

These shoes are great, light weight with decent grip. I chose the fluro yellow colour which contrasting nicely against some chinos I wear out on the course. I would say that these would also pair nice with a five or six pocket pant.

What features attracted you to this shoe?

One of the reasons I chose this shoe was its versatility. I can wear these to work, to the gym and out on the course. It is by far one of the best looking sneakers that Puma Golf have created. But wait, there´s more…
